To qualify for an investment visa in Italy, you must make one of the following investments:

Make a philanthropic donation of at least €1 million to support a public interest project.

This donation falls in the fields of culture, education, immigration management, scientific research, asset recovery, cultural environments, must be at least 1 million euros in the sectors of culture, cultural and landscape heritage recovery or for a public interest initiative.

Make an investment for a value of at least 2 million euros in securities issued by the Italian Government.

This investment must be maintained for at least 2 years. Once the Visa is obtained, you will be able to enter Italy and within three months you will have to conclude the donation that will be supported by a public deed, that is to say in front of a notary and in the presence of two witnesses.

An investment for a value of at least 1 million euros in the capital of an Italian company or 500 thousand euros in an innovative startup.

You must make an investment for a value of at least €1 million in the capital of an Italian company or €500 thousand in an innovative startup and create at least three jobs.

Requirements to apply for any of the three investor visa options:

  • You must prove that you possess the amount of money intended for the investment and that it
    comes from lawful sources, available and transferable in Italy.
  • Declare that you undertake to make the investment or philanthropic donation within three months from the date of entry into Italy.
  • Proof of sufficient other financial resources for yourself during your period of residence in Italy.

Process to apply for the Italy Golden Visa

  1. After having identified the operation of interest you must register your details on the official website.
  2. Submit a form to the Italian Consulate, together with all necessary documentation
  3. Organize a web conference meeting with the participation of the company representative or the chosen project manager, depending on whether it is an investment in a company or a donation.
  4. To participate in the web conference it is necessary to pay a registration fee.
  5. If you meet the conditions, the parties will continue negotiations.
  6. Once the agreement has been reached, you must send the application to the nearest Italian Embassy.
  7. Pay the remaining part of the fee

  9. Once the Visa is obtained, within eight days after the entry in Italy, you must apply for the residence permit and within the following three months you will stipulate the notarial operation.

How to prepare to apply for the Golden Visa Italy

Before applying for the Italian Golden Visa you must take into account that if you are not fluent in English or Italian you must find an interpreter at the time of the web conference for the visa application. Moreover, the Investor Visa modality foresees a payment to be made in two parts, the first payment is of €1,000 plus VAT 22% and the second one the cost will be determined by the number of visa applications (only the applicant or also the family members), the amount will be communicated at the moment of the registration to the service). Renewal of the investor visa Italy

Unlike other visas or business residence permits, all with a duration of ninety days every six months, the Italian golden visa has an initial duration of two years, at the expiration of this period you can renew it for three years and after five years from the first issuance, it is possible to apply for the permanent residence card.
